ECO Clubs seek to empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. While everyone, everywhere, asserts the importance of ‘learning to live sustainably,’ environment remains a peripheral issue in the formal schooling system. It is not just an extracurricular activity but is prioritized as a focal goal of students’ curriculum and school operations.
We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.
- American Indian proverb
Environmental Club at ISPS
The Environmental Club at ISPS aims to provide a space for students who are passionate about the environment and making our planet more sustainable.
For the year, we are aiming to attend a climate strike, make our school more environmentally friendly by initiating a recycling project, and have beach clean-ups.
