Middle Years Programme

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is offered in Grades 6 to 8 and is designed to meet the developmental needs of adolescents and to bridge the transition from elementary to high school.

ISPS’s middle school curriculum delivers years 1-3 of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and provides a foundation for student success in the final two years of the programme in high school. In grades 6-8, students develop an understanding of their own approaches to learning, and they familiarize themselves with the other areas of the IB MYP including subject-specific objectives and assessment practices, and an appreciation of service learning. These formative experiences deepen their understanding of the concepts of the IB Programme and prepare students to be internationally-minded members of our community.
