Middle Years Programme

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is offered in Grades 6 to 10 and is designed to meet the developmental needs of adolescents and to bridge the transition from elementary to high school.

ISPS’s middle school curriculum delivers years 1-3 of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and provides a foundation for student success in the final two years of the programme in high school. In grades 6-8, students develop an understanding of their own approaches to learning, and they familiarize themselves with the other areas of the IB MYP including subject specific objectives and assessment practices, and an appreciation of service learning. These formative experiences deepen their understanding of the concepts of the IB Programme and prepare students to be internationally-minded members of our community.
