High School Diploma

PREPARING STUDENTS FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

All ISPS students who complete the prescribed course of study receive an accredited High School Diploma. Students pursuing this qualification choose from a substantial range of traditional and contemporary subjects to create their own uniquely stimulating programmes.

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

Students in grades 9 to 12 work towards earning a US High School Diploma. Courses in the High School are college preparatory, with Advanced Placement (AP) courses available. Students in 11th and 12th grade engage in the AP Program and other college-preparatory courses.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to obtain a High School Diploma from ISPS, students must earn a minimum of 26 credits while enrolled in grades 9-12. Of these, 16 must be from the core academic areas of English, Math, Science, Social Science and Modern Languages.

In addition to these, students must complete 1.5 credits in PE.

Grades & Assessment

ISPS uses a semester and quarter-based academic system with formal grade reports issued each quarter and semester exams contributing to final grades. The school follows a 9–12 grading scale with GPA calculations based on all courses, including weighted Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and only final grades appear on cumulative transcripts.
