On Monday, May 1, AP Research students celebrated the conclusion of their AP Capstone program. Having completed their 20-minute presentations and oral defenses the week before, students joyfully gathered to submit their 5,000-word discourses. Their papers, the culmination of a year’s worth of work, spanning topics like Net Metering in Trinidad, Test Anxiety and SEA, TikTok’s Effect on Attention Span, How Local Artists Make a Living, Oil and Gas Regulations in Trinidad and Tobago, and much more. Students learned the authentic writing process, from brainstorming, editing, and revising many times over, and professional-level research procedures that include adding personal, unique data into an existing scholarly discussion. These students must be commended on their tenacity, creative problem-solving skills, and time management proficiency. I am very proud of them!
AP Research students proudly show off all their check marks on AP Classroom,
confirming all work has been completed!
