During this first unit, Pre-AP students are learning about important representations of Hispanic artists while reviewing key grammatical aspects of the language. To get a real glance at the world of one of the most iconic painters in Latin America -and the protagonist of our unit’s short novel- our class has gone on a virtual tour to Frida Kahlo’s home!
Exploring this Mexican Landmark aimed at bringing students closer to the Hispanic culture while practicing formal and informal interactions in class, stating their opinion and politely agreeing or disagreeing with others in Spanish.
This unit - and this activity- ties in with one of the themes of AP Spanish Language and Culture, giving students the opportunity to explore a different culture while comparing and contrasting to their own.
