Town meeting: As part of our year-long PYP unit Relationships, students identified situations in school where conflicts may arise. We discussed what would be good choices in each situation. Students are learning how their actions have an impact on others. Students role-played the situations showing how their actions may lead to conflict as well as situations reflecting their good choices.
Wasamaki: Our field trip to WaSamaki Ecosystems was part of our PYP unit Living Things and connected to the sustainable development goal (SDG) #15- Life on land. Students learned that all plants do not smell the same as they used their sense of smell to identify different plants. They saw a variety of fish, fed chickens and observed bees and ants in their natural habitat.
