Think Rational, Be Rational!

Think Rational, Be Rational!

In math class, we have been extending our knowledge about types of numbers and how we represent the various numbers in different forms.  What makes a number rational or irrational?  How do we compare numbers in different forms?  Students have been learning how to use the different functions on their handy calculators to assist them in more challenging problems.  This too is a skill and once mastered, makes life a lot easier for a math student!  We are also working with integer operations, exploring online interactive manipulatives to demonstrate understanding visually, working on communicating our steps in a logical manner and also collaborating our ideas with our classmates.  Lots of essential skill building in this unit!
