PART TIME MS & HS DRAMA TEACHER

Job Summary:

The Part Time Middle and High School Drama Teacher will be required to educate their students on the history of drama, various acting styles, methods, and techniques. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student development in theatrical knowledge, skills and appreciation through a variety of planned theatrical and arts-integrated experiences including but not limited to the following:
    • Script Writing
    • Performance and Improvisation
    • Theatre Design and Production
    • Theatre in Society and Analysis
  • Assist students in creating their own dramatic pieces
  • Organize and manage the learning environment
  • Cast, direct and coordinate stage productions including tech, lighting, sound and backstage management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in subject area from an accredited university
  • Current/valid registration with the Ministry of Education or possess a valid teaching certificate from abroad
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent will be considered an asset
  • Computer literate

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ recent experience teaching at school level of vacancy
  • At least two years of recent, full time classroom teaching experience in the area of vacancy
  • MYP experience preferred
