Service with a Smile!
Yesterday morning Grade Seven students went to Las Cuevas beach for a Service Learning project. The purpose of the trip was to collect as much garbage from the beach as possible, with the wider goal of improving the conditions for the many and varied animals who make this area their home and prevent further litter from entering our oceans.
This was a data-driven activity and we were working in partnership with an organization called ICCTT (International Coastal Clean up, Trinidad and Tobago), who in turn work with partners in the US to share the data collected here in T&T.
