Having Your Say

Here’s the truth:  I really enjoyed your courses, Tom. I learned a lot; classes were down to earth and practical.  Best of all, I learned to use the British Library, which has been a tremendous help to me. I also enjoyed the group power point presentations.   They showed me just how much can be done over the Internet in a collaborative venture.

You really helped me feel like a librarian while I was fumbling around the library.  I am one of those untrained librarians who was tossed inside of a library because most people still feel a library is a big room with books and nothing more.

On the other hand, I had some classes by a particular instructor in which I had no idea of what was wanted or needed.  Most papers were never graded.  These would be the classes in which I got B’s. In one class I actually had a D.  I lucked out because about 70 per cent of the class turned out to be assessments on Boolean logic, which I seemed to be good at.  That brought me up to a B.

Had I had this instructor first, I would have dropped out of the program in the beginning.  I think ISU has to ensure that this does not happen to students again.

Thanks again for everything. I feel I am a better librarian because of you.  ISU is extremely lucky to have you.
