CAISSA (Caribbean Area International Schools Sports Association)

There are three CAISSA seasons: Season 1 Volleyball (First week in November), Season 2 Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer (Last week of February - First Week of March), and Season 3 Boys Soccer and Girls Basketball (Last week of May).

ISPS became a member of CAISSA in August 2004.

We have hosted 5 tournaments which included the Carol Morgan School (Dominican Republic), the Union School (Haiti), Escuela Campo Alegre (Venezuela) and Academia Cotopaxi (Ecuador). Over the last 5 years ISPS has Placed 1st seven times (Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Girls Soccer, Boys Volleyball and Girls Volleyball twice). Placed 2nd seven times (Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball twice, Girls Volleyball, Boys Volleyball and Girls Soccer twice) and 3rd six times (Boys Basketball, Boys Volleyball, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer and Boys Soccer).

ISPS hosted the CAISSA Invitational Girls Basketball and Boys Soccer Tournament from May 22nd to May 26th 2009.

The Caiman Boys Soccer team placed third while the Girls Basketball players defeated all challengers to win the title. All the games were very competitive and exciting. The tournament was very well supported by the entire ISPS Community.

CAISSA 2010 - 2011 Tournaments Will Be Held In:

• Season 1 - CAISSA Volleyball will be held in the Dominican Republic from November 11 to 15

• Season 2 - CAISSA Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer will be hosted here at the International School Of Port Of Spain grounds from February 23rd to February 27th

• Season 3 - CAISSA Girls Basketball and Boys Soccer will be held in the Dominican Republic from May 21 to May 25

Only Students From Grade 8 To Grade 12 Will Be Considered For CAISSA Teams
