Well after a
hectic 2 days in the water our
aquatic athletes certainly made ISPS
proud last weekend. On Saturday 30th
the grade 7 water polo team came
from behind at the start of the game
to beat St. Anthony’s College 6 – 4,
in their first match of the First
Citizens National Secondary Schools’
Water Polo league. Next match is
Sunday 7th
February, 11.00 am against QRC at
the St. Anthony’s/Marlins pool.
On Sunday 31st
our very depleted swim team
competed extremely valiantly at the
TSTT Foundation National Secondary
Schools’ swim meet. After leading in
the Co-educational category at the
mid-way point of the day, we could
not stop the charge from St.
Augustine Senior Secondary in the
latter half however. ISPS was
dethroned at the end of the day to 2nd
place in this category for the 1st
time in 2 years.
Special mention
must be made to Dayna Bayne who won
the 3rd
place highest point trophy in her
competitive 13-14 age group. Also
Amara Prevatt who won the 2nd
place highest point trophy in her
non-competitive 15 & over age group.
For extremely fantastic performances
overall much credit goes out to the
team comprising of;
Gabriel Garett, Isaac Bayne, Helena
Combs, Wilfred Peake, Kevin
Achim, Zachary Bisnath,
Dayna Bayne, Ella Bayne, Amara
Prevatt, Rory Affoon
